Director Technology & Development
The jobholder reports to the COO. He/she takes responsibility for developing original and innovative solutions and technologies in order to produce various active ingredients and intermediates for the pharmaceutical industry. He/she elaborates synthesis routes and develops manufacturing processes. He/she is in charge of projects from laboratory phase until production and participates in risk analysis and DMF/COS dossier development.
Your mission and responsibilities:
 You lead a dynamic team of chemists and lab technicians
You develop customer oriented solutions in line with business strategy
You ensure good communication and close collaboration between business, quality and production teams and with our external partners
In charge of technology watching, you take part in the strategic development of the company‘s growing sectors
You check the patents situation as well as product registration status
You apply EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) and cGMP guidelines in your department
Your profile:
Master in Chemical Engineering with PhD in Organic Chemistry
A few years experience in process development in fine chemistry and/or in pharmaceutical synthesis environment
Excellent knowledge of the risk analysis concepts and of a cGMP environment
Determined personality, polyvalent, creative and curious; you have a strong entrepreneurial spirit as well as the aptitude to manage and motivate a team
Outstanding organisation, negotiation and communication skills
Excellent language skills in English and French, German would be an asset
